BELIEVE, ACHIEVE, BELONG

The Barber Battles marked Mrs Barber’s last day at North Elmham Primary School. The games saw our much-beloved teacher (and Assistant Headteacher) of 12 years, compete against the children in various challenges. Mrs Barber won – being such a competitive person she wouldn’t even let children beat her!

It was a lovely send-off for her as she moves on in her career to a new school with new challenges. She has inspired so many children at North Elmham School, and the staff will certainly miss working with her as she is such a kind person who would do anything for anyone at the drop of a hat.

We wish her all the very best and hope she will come back and visit us again soon.

Celebrating success

This week Key Stage One attended a Football Tournament. Our children showed a great passion for football!

Well done everyone!

Making choices

In collective worship this week we discussed making choices and taking responsibility for the choices we make.

We were set a challenge: a child left the hall whilst we hid a bar of chocolate. We could help our friend by saying ‘hot’ or ‘cold’ as they tried to find the chocolate bar or we could say nothing at all.

What choice do you think we made?

Of course we helped our friend to find the chocolate and made lots of noise in the process!

Anti Bullying Day

To raise money and awareness for Anti Bullying we held a ‘wear blue day’.

Key Stage Two learnt about a cyber bullying and giving compliments whilst Early Years and Key Stage One helped Mr Shark make the right choices at play time and discussed what makes a good friend!

Daniel and the Lion

A huge thank you to BJ Puppets who came to tell us a story today. We learnt about always trying to do the right thing and how one person can make a huge difference to others.

Celebration Assembly

We have celebrated some fantastic achievements this week. Excellent behaviour and listening during an after-school club, brilliant writing in class and creating beautiful projects at home!

Well done everyone, another fantastic week!

King Nebuchadnezzar

We learnt the Bible story of King Nebuchadnezzar and the three men; Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, linked to our value Responsibility.

Celebration

A great start to the academic year celebrating our wonderful achievements over the Summer holidays.

Congratulations to all of the children in Early Years and Key Stage One who took part and completed the Summer Reading Challenges!
