On Friday before half term, North Elmham went to the church to celebrate Harvest. The children sang beautifully, shared poems and prayers and their art work they had made for Reverand Sally’s harvest basket. Well done to the children and thank you to those parents who came to support on what was a very wet and windy day!
Collective Worship
Friendship
This half term in our Collective Worship we are focusing on the theme of Friendship. This is one of our six core values. Please have a read to find some useful ideas you might like to explore at home with your children.
It would be great to see any art work, thoughts, stories, creativity your child might have to bring into school which we can display and share in our schools.
Collective Worship – Summer Reading Challenge
This week Janet from Dereham and Swaffham Libraries visited us to talk about this year’s Summer Reading Challenge! The Summer Reading Challenge is a fun and engaging reading activity presented by the Reading Agency and delivered to local libraries to encourage children to carry on with their reading over the summer holiday. This year’s theme is the Gadgeteers and is all about science and innovation in the world around us. We hope children will visit their local library to find out more and take part!
Collective Worship 5th July, 2022
Today we took advantage of the lovely weather and came together outside. We welcomed ‘Open the Book’ who shared the story of Tabitha. Tabitha uses her time and sewing skills to mend clothes to help those in need. When Tabitha becomes ill herself, she is healed by Peter and can return to her simple task of helping others.
Andy Jones, Rev’d Sally and Open the Book
We were lucky enough to welcome Andy Jones, Rev’d Sally and Open the Book to lead Collective Worship at our school. The whole school had a great time listening to different Bible stories about this term’s value of thankfulness and the children were great at joining in!
Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you back at North Elmham soon.
Collective Worship
Over the past few weeks, we have shared stories that link to our value of Forgiveness. We shared Jesus and the Taxman, The Parable of the Lost Sheep and Jonah and the Whale. We also welcomed Rev’d Sally to lead Collective Worship, as well as enjoying our weekly singing and celebration Assemblies! Well done to our children in the Golden Book and the Stars of the Week so far this half term!
Open the Book
Open the Book led Collective Worship and told us the story of Adam and Eve. We enjoyed excellent storytelling with wonderful props and singing! A great start to our week.
